The Mannerist portal at the entrance features an image of Our Lady of the Assumption, the parish's patroness. Inside, the Renaissance tomb of D. João de Noronha, the captain of Óbidos in the 16th century, is a masterpiece of Renaissance tomb sculptures, attributed to the Frenchman Nicolau Chanterenne. Additionally, the church houses paintings by the renowned artists Baltazar Gomes Figueira and Josefa de Óbidos (1634-1684).
